“Wings” is an animation I created as part of an interactive multimedia class that helped fine-tune my skills using Adobe Flash. I had already had some previous knowledge of Flash and so I managed this project with few difficulties. I focused a lot on the planning process as well as ensuring that all of the elements of the animation were well categorised and stored; both of which I previously wouldn’t do when making animations. I was able to gain a better understanding and appreciation for fully planning and storyboarding projects, not just for animations but in all of the work I set out to complete.
Whilst studying digital video and audio editing I was required to create a short film with a small group of 2 other people. We decided on the topic of “casual gamers”. We drew from the skills we learnt in our Digital Video and Audio class to ensure the filming, audio recording and editing were as professional as we could make them. Overall it was a great experience as I had only previously worked on much smaller video pieces and I greatly enjoyed this project.
This is a small piece I created in Digital Video and Audio. The outline involved creating an audio piece that told the story, of someone running late, through as few words as possible. I’m not always comfortable with the audio elements of editing so I found this section of the subject helpful and useful for many of my later works, as many projects require some sort of audio input.
